Multiple residents give us insight into what it is they do with their days in the house, and the staff give us an idea of why they’re so happy to get up and go to work.

The residents embrace the sense of freedom that fills every Abbeyfield house, giving them the chance to shape each day exactly as they wish. Some take their time in the morning before heading out for gentle walks together. Others love the warmth of the Breakfast Club, where friendly faces gather to share food and conversation. And some simply enjoy a peaceful meal in their own room. This is the heart of Abbeyfield — real choice, real comfort, and a life free from the worries of cooking, bills, or everyday stress.

Staff highlight how much a home‑cooked meal means to residents. It’s a time to sit together, enjoy delicious food and connect with friends. So, however they choose to spend their time, there’s always a welcoming meal and friendly faces waiting for them.

Our cohosts examine the exciting and ever-changing atmospheres of an Abbeyfield house. The core of Abbeyfield houses is the core of any other house: family.
