Abbeyfield is built on a simple belief: no older person should feel alone.
As the Abbeyfield movement reaches its 70th anniversary, we are looking for new Trustees to join the Abbeyfield England Board.
This is an opportunity to apply your experience, insight and judgement in a role that has national reach and real-world impact.
This is not a typical trustee role
You won’t be overseeing a single organisation. Instead you’ll be helping to strengthen a network of independent charities across England—supporting them to adapt, grow and continue delivering vital support to older people in their communities.
We’re looking for people who want to contribute at a different level.
We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in:
- Digital and technology
- Finance
- Legal and governance
But more importantly, we’re looking for people who are:
- Forward-thinking
- Engaged
- Comfortable contributing to an organisation that is evolving
This is a role for people who want to make an impact and is designed for people who:
- Want to contribute at Board level
- Bring perspective and constructive challenge
- Are motivated by purpose, not just position
