Linking Lives

Linking Lives

Abbeyfield England is proud to work alongside Linking Lives, a charity dedicated to tackling loneliness and social isolation through friendship, connection and community support.

Loneliness remains one of the biggest challenges facing many older people, particularly those who live alone or have limited social networks. As organisations committed to helping people live well in later life, Abbeyfield England and Linking Lives share a common belief that meaningful relationships and a sense of belonging are fundamental to wellbeing.

Through our partnership, we aim to raise awareness of loneliness, share good practice, and encourage communities, volunteers and organisations to play their part in creating more connected and supportive environments for older people.

Together, we can help ensure that fewer older people face loneliness alone.

Areas of collaboration:

  • Tackling loneliness
  • Community engagement
  • Social connection initiatives

Utility Aid

Utility Aid

Abbeyfield England is pleased to work with Utility Aid, helping Abbeyfield societies access specialist support to manage energy costs and utility contracts at a time of continued financial pressure across the sector.

About Utility Aid

Utility Aid exists to protect charities and not-for-profit organisations from wasting money on energy. They check every bill, challenge every error, and recover what is owed — with over £10 million returned to the sector so far.

Since 2002, Utility Aid has helped charities, housing associations, schools, churches and community organisations reduce costs, recover overcharges and manage supplier relationships.

Everything they do is focused on helping organisations spend less on energy and more on the people and communities they support.

Areas of collaboration:
