Castle Farm, part of Abbeyfield Northumbria, celebrated 70 years of Abbeyfield with a 1950s-themed garden party attended by residents, families, friends and members of the local community.
Staff dressed up in 1950s outfits, and guests enjoyed afternoon tea inspired by the decade. A special anniversary cake, made by the home's chef, was cut by the Deputy Lord-Lieutenant.
There was plenty of music and conversation throughout the afternoon. Residents visiting from another Abbeyfield home also had the chance to meet new people and spend time at Castle Farm.
Congratulations to everyone at Castle Farm for organising such a lovely celebration and helping make Abbeyfield's 70th anniversary a memorable occasion!
