The Abbeyfield South West Society at Glen Tor came together for a sponsored walk along the Tarka Trail to support seven-year-old Jenson and his family.
Jenson was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and tumours around his body when he was just six. He is still undergoing treatment, which has meant his family have had to spend time away from home in Bristol and London to make sure he receives specialist care.
The cause is particularly close to their hearts, as Jenson is a family member of one of their staff.
The group walked from the Puffing Billy in Great Torrington towards Bideford, following the beautiful Tarka Trail.
Everyone dressed as something beginning with the letter 'J' in honour of Jenson. Walkers of all ages took part, including their oldest walker, aged 92!
The aim was to raise £600 to help Jenson's family with the costs of staying away from home during his treatment and to provide a special treat of Jenson's choosing. This followed a coffee morning that had already raised an impressive £566.
Everyone had a brilliant day, enjoying the walk and each other's company before sitting down to lunch together.
We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part and helped support Jenson and his family. We wish them all the very best as Jenson continues his treatment.
