The Abbeyfield Fulwood Society in Preston, Lancashire, held a special afternoon tea to mark the retirement of a trustee following her many years of service.
Residents and staff of the Society’s sheltered housing scheme, Howard House, and friends and supporters from the local area joined together to honour Kay Gibson, who stepped down from the role she has held for 20 years.
The Chair of Trustees, Bernard Walmsley, said, “Kay has been a hardworking trustee at Abbeyfield Fulwood, taking a leading role in introducing new residents and managing our advertising.
“She will be sorely missed, and we send her every good wish for the future.”
Kay was presented at the tea with flowers, wine, and a certificate of appreciation from all at the house.
