Welcome to Cunningham House

We are a small and friendly home located at the heart of the beautiful village of Pirbright with good transport links to nearby Woking and Guildford. Our home is most suited to older people who:

like having the independence to live life as they choose,
want to enjoy the freedom from chores, household bills and the responsibilities of running a home,
appreciate the company of others,
enjoy nutritious, home-cooked meals each day,
Do not need nursing care

There are nine ground floor rooms at Cunningham House, each with direct access to a small patio area and the beautiful gardens beyond. The rooms have ensuite toilets and wash basins, and some have a kitchenette or ensuite shower too.

Residents have a key to the main front door and to their own room so it is easy to come and go as they please. With the local pubs, cricket on the green, church, clubs and societies, there is plenty in Pirbright to do, all within a short walk from Cunningham House.

Meet the team

Lucy brings a proven dedication to the elderly and a professional expertise in nutrition. Her career has been built around roles in community nutrition in the NHS across England, and her personal life has been dedicated to supporting the elderly and vulnerable. She has been our live-in House Manager since 2013 with full responsibility for the safe management of Cunningham House.

Rachel brings significant professional cookery expertise, having trained as a cordon bleu cook in the early days of her career. She now supports the residents on a part-time basis, undertaking a range of regular safety checks in addition to providing healthful and delicious meals.

Katherine handles the administration and financial tasks involved with helping the House Manager to keep Cunningham House running smoothly. Also the manager of her own catering business, Katherine supports Cunningham House as a relief cook and provides delicious fayre when we entertain our many friends and guests during social occasions.
