About The Hertfordshire Residential Care Society
Abbeyfield Hertfordshire Residential Society was established in 1992 when they opened Friars Mead, a purpose-built residential care home, located in the heart of Kings Langley Village.
Operating as part of the national charity, Abbeyfield England, we offer residential care for older people and at Friars Mead, we really care for the elderly who would like assistance with their daily living.
One of the greatest fears for older people is losing their independence. But residential care doesn’t have to feel that way. In a safe environment that feels like home, you might be surprised at how independent and free one can be. With 26 en-suite bedrooms of varying sizes, plus communal rooms and extensive gardens, our residential care feels like a home from home.
We believe that life is to be lived and loved, so we put individual choice at the heart of home design and activity planning.
