Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Join us at Abbeyfield South Downs where your time and talents can bring joy, companionship, and support to our wonderful residents. 

Our vibrant retirement living communities are based across seven houses in Eastbourne (two houses), Heathfield, Hove, Tunbridge Wells and Worthing. 

We’re currently seeking enthusiastic and compassionate volunteers to help with:

• 🧩 Resident Activities – Games, crafts, music, storytelling, and more
• ☕ Social Events – Tea afternoons, birthday celebrations, and seasonal gatherings
• 🚶‍♀️ Companionship & Walks – Friendly chats, walks in the garden, or simply sharing a smile
• 📚 Reading & Reminiscing – Sharing books, newspapers, and life stories
• 🛠️ General Support – Helping with small tasks around the property

Whether you have a few hours a week or just want to help occasionally, your presence can make a real difference.
