Christmas at Our Houses 2024
We had a great time celebrating Christmas across our houses. In this blog, we catch up with events at Abbeyfield House, Hove and Holdenhurst in Heathfield. Here you can see what our tenants got up to, from Christmas parties and events to enjoying delicious food.
At Abbeyfield House, Hove, we enjoyed a fabulous Christmas party. It started with Mistletoe Martinis, followed by a 3-course Christmas menu:
- Starter: Baked Pear Rocket Salad with Walnut & Stilton or Salmon Pate & Melba Toast
- Main: Roast Turkey or Gammon with Rosemary Roast Potatoes, Cauliflower Cheese, Brussel Sprouts with Bacon & Maple Syrup, Mixed Roast Root Veggies, Pigs in Blankets and Cranberry Pork Stuffing. Phew!
- Dessert: Traditional Christmas Pudding with Brandy Cream, Sherry Trifle or Lemon Meringue Roulade
At Holdenhurst, Heathfield, we enjoyed a brilliant Christmas Party with entertainment from Jason Line, then a Christmas Lunch and Raffle, and topped off with our very own Holdenhurst Bake Off competition. Beryl won the sweet for her lovely fruit cake and Gill won the savoury for her cheese and sage biscuits. We had a very special guest judge too!!
